Today, the 39th meeting of the Ufa City Council took place. At this meeting, deputies approved changes to the Charter of the republic's capital.
The head of the city district and chairman of the Ufa City Council, Marat Vasimov, discussed the changes in the city’s main document. He noted that adjustments were required to update current federal and regional legislation.
Issues of local importance regarding organizing work with children and youth have been changed. This clause of the Charter has been expanded with additional powers.
Issues of local importance have also expanded. Thus, they now include identifying objects of accumulated environmental harm and organizing the elimination of such harm. This paragraph applies to territories within the boundaries of land plots owned by the city district.
The powers of local government bodies have been changed by establishing print media or online publications to promulgate municipal legal acts and bring official information to the urban district's residents' attention.
Also, the Charter was changed in connection with the redistribution of powers for organizing water supply and sanitation and for providing land plots for which state ownership is not demarcated. Therefore, these innovations were reflected in the city's main document.
In connection with changes in federal legislation, issues of liability for non-compliance with restrictions and prohibitions, requirements for preventing or resolving conflicts of interest, and failure to fulfill obligations to combat corruption are also being clarified.
The Charter reflected the responsibility of deputies who absent themselves without good reason from all Council meetings for six months in a row. In this case, the deputy's powers are terminated early.
The procedure for entering into force and promulgating municipal legal acts has been updated, and other changes have been made following regional and federal legislation.
