SEZ “Alga” branch may appear in Uzbekistan

A working meeting between the Head of Bashkortostan, Radiy Khabirov, and the Prime Minister of Uzbekistan, Abdulla Aripov, took place in Tashkent. The parties discussed directions for further joint work.

Radiy Khabirov noted in his Telegram channel that bilateral trade turnover is one of the best in history. Uzbekistan ranks fifth in the foreign trade turnover of Bashkortostan.

According to Radiy Khabirov, there is enormous growth potential. Along with developing trade relations, we must strive to form industrial cooperation. We are planning to open a joint technology park in the Tashkent region. One of the formats of its organization is creating a branch of our special economic zone, “Alga,” on the territory of Uzbekistan. We will also facilitate the work of business. In particular, Uzbek entrepreneurs already intend to launch the production of gas cylinders for road transport in Blagoveshchensk. These products are in great demand due to the development of the gas motor fuel market. In turn, we included in the delegation of the republic the heads of several companies ready to enter the market of Uzbekistan.

The previous two years of active work have prepared a reasonable basis for developing a qualitatively new stage of relations with friendly Uzbekistan. The head of Bashkiria is confident that as a result of his visit to Tashkent, the region will be able to reach new agreements to strengthen relations.
