Radiy Khabirov met with Head of Rostransnadzor, Viktor Basargin

The Head of Bashkortostan, Radiy Khabirov, met with the head of the Federal Service for Supervision of Transport (Rostransnadzor), Viktor Basargin. The agenda included measures to identify and suppress the activities of illegal passenger carriers, developing a weight and size control system on the republic’s highways, improving road safety, and other topical issues.

The head of the region highly appreciated the effectiveness of interaction with the Interterritorial Directorate of Rostransnadzor for the Volga Federal District.

Separately, the Head of the Republic focused on operating the weight and dimensional control system.

Let us remind you that at the beginning of the week, at the Transport Hour session, the head of the region instructed to present proposals for the installation of additional automatic points on the Meshchegarovo—Turnaly—Mursalimkino, Kropachevo—Mesyagutovo—Achit, and Mursalimkino—Suleya highways. This is necessary to control the flow of freight transporting building materials extracted from local quarries.

At the meeting, the head of Rostransnadzor, Viktor Basargin, expressed gratitude to the Head of Bashkortostan for his attention to developing the region’s transport infrastructure.

“The Ufa International Airport and the road network of the republic's capital left an excellent impression. Today, Ufa's air gates annually serve about 5 million passengers. At the same time, there are plans to increase this figure to 7 million people. This is, of course, the highest bar. Therefore, working together to achieve this goal is important,” noted Viktor Basargin.

The head of the department also stated that Rostransnadzor would continue to actively work to suppress the activities of illegal passenger carriers and control the weight and size of freight transport.

At the end of the meeting, the head of Rostransnadzor, Viktor Basargin, presented the Head of Bashkortostan, Radiy Khabirov, with a departmental award - the medal "For Interaction" - for his outstanding contribution to joint work.
