Vladimir Putin signed decrees on Russian government members' appointment

The Kremlin press service reports that on May 14, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed decrees appointing members of the Russian government and directors of intelligence services.

According to the documents, the head of state appointed Denis Manturov as the first deputy prime minister. Tatyana Golikova, Dmitry Grigorenko, Alexander Novak, Alexey Overchuk, Dmitry Patrushev, Vitaly Savelyev, Yuri Trutnev, Marat Khusnullin, and Dmitry Chernyshenko were also appointed deputy prime ministers.

In addition, the President of Russia appointed Alexander Kozlov as Minister of Natural Resources and Environment, Anton Kotyakov as Minister of Labor and Social Protection, Sergei Kravtsov as Education Minister, Mikhail Murashko as Health Minister, Olga Lyubimova as Culture Minister, Maxim Reshetnikov as Economic Development Minister, Anton Siluanov as Finance Minister, and Construction Minister and housing and communal services Irek Fayzullin, Minister of Science and Higher Education Valery Falkov, Minister of Development of the Far East and Arctic Alexey Chekunkov, Minister of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Communications of the Russian Federation Maksut Shadayev.

Among the new ministers are ex-governor of the Khabarovsk Territory Mikhail Degtyarev, who headed the Ministry of Sports; former governor of the Kursk region Roman Starovoyt was appointed minister of transport; and ex-governor of the Kaliningrad region Anton Alikhanov became minister of industry and trade. The former head of the Kemerovo region, Sergei Tsivilev, will head the Ministry of Energy, and Oksana Lut will head the Ministry of Agriculture.

Also, by his decree, Vladimir Putin appointed the heads of law enforcement agencies and special services. Sergei Lavrov remains the head of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Andrey Belousov heads the Minister of Defense, Vladimir Kolokoltsev heads the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Alexander Kurenkov - the Ministry of Emergency Situations, Konstantin Chuychenko - the Ministry of Justice, Sergei Naryshkin - the SVR, Alexander Bortnikov - the FSB, Viktor Zolotov - the Russian Guard, Dmitry Kochnev - the FSO. Alexander Linets has been appointed as head of the President of Russia's Main Directorate of Special Programs.
