

On May 7, Russian President Vladimir Putin was inaugurated in the Grand Kremlin Palace in Moscow. This is the eighth presidential inauguration in the country's modern history and the fifth for Putin. Thus, the countdown to a new presidential term begins today and will last until 2030.
Chairman of the Constitutional Court of the Russian Federation Valery Zorkin asked Vladimir Putin to take the oath.
Vladimir Putin has been sworn in as President of Russia. The elected head of state took the oath of office in a solemn atmosphere in the presence of government members, parliament, judges of the Constitutional Court, other government officials, and public figures.
The standard of the head of state is raised above the dome of the presidential residence in the Kremlin.
After the inauguration ceremony, the President of Russia addressed the country's citizens and warmly thanked all Russians.
