Radiy Khabirov met with Sergei Lavrov in Moscow

On April 17, in Moscow, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and the Head of the Republic Radiy Khabirov met to present Bashkortostan's economic, investment, and tourism potential.

At the beginning of the meeting, the Head of Bashkortostan thanked the minister for the opportunity to demonstrate Bashkortostan's potential to a wide audience of diplomatic workers and experts at various levels, including foreign ones.

“This is an important step for the development of our republic. You know that we are active in foreign economic activity, and in recent years, with the support of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, we have opened many of our trade missions abroad. Cultural and humanitarian ties are actively expanding. We interact especially closely with our key partners – Belarus and Kazakhstan. And as part of cooperation with Abkhazia, we plan to open an arcade in Ufa this year, which will symbolize the friendship of the Bashkir and Abkhaz peoples,” noted Radiy Khabirov.

The head of the Russian Foreign Ministry emphasized that thanks to the management team's efforts, the republic maintains its leading position in Russia in economic development and the cultural and sports sphere.

“Bashkortostan is the face of our country. I want to thank you for your active foreign economic activity. In addition, I know that sports are developing at a good pace in the region. In particular, the construction of a rowing slalom complex is underway in Ufa, which is a modern, world-class facility. The republic's representative, Alsu Minazova, is one of our best slalom athletes. I wish the athletes of Bashkortostan successful performances and new bright victories,” said Sergei Lavrov.

The head of the republic, Radiy Khabirov, invited Sergei Lavrov to take part in events dedicated to the 450th anniversary of Ufa, which will be held in the summer and autumn of 2024.
