Bashkortostan Prime Minister spoke about Environmental Forum's first day

Prime Minister of the Government of Bashkortostan Andrey Nazarov spoke on his social media about the progress of the Environmental Forum, which is being held in Ufa for the eighth time and is attended by experts from Russia, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Belarus, and Kyrgyzstan.

“In his Address to the Federal Assembly, Vladimir Putin paid close attention to specially protected natural areas. By 2030, all national parks should have ecotourism infrastructure, including eco-trails and hiking routes, recreation areas, museums, and visitor centers.

Today, we have 217 such territories, with a total area of about 1 million hectares. We are one of the leaders in the Volga region. Bashkortostan is rich not only in natural beauty but also in valuable archaeological monuments.

Over five years, we have created 18 protected natural areas of republican significance.

They were the first in Russia to breed the Red Book bison of the Belovezhskaya population. In 2023, 18 bison from Belarus settled in the Muradymovsky Gorge.

More than two million people visit our republic every year, and every tenth tourist wants to get acquainted with the diversity of its nature and landscapes.

We try to create all the right conditions for tourists. We are building eco-trails in natural parks and designing a natural park with a protected zone on the Inzerskie Zubchatki.

There is still much work to be done: we need transport accessibility, comfortable accommodation conditions, equipped ecological trails with views, observation platforms, and stable cellular communications.

To do this, we are actively working with investors interested in developing ecotourism and creating a list of sites and their passports. We create comfortable conditions that allow stable development.

The task is to build a dialogue between the government, businesses, public organizations, and concerned citizens while balancing nature protection and society's needs. We will multiply the pace of work, turning Bashkortostan into a natural pearl of the Southern Urals,” writes Andrey Nazarov.
