Agro-industrial complex has received state support worth 3.3 billion rubles over five years in Bashkiria

Prime Minister of the Republic Andrey Nazarov said that over the past five years, farms and cooperatives in Bashkiria have received grants worth 3.3 billion rubles. He made the remarks at a meeting where issues of the development of farming and agricultural cooperation were discussed.

The head of the Cabinet noted that a large number of farms is a crucial feature of the region. Last year, farmers accounted for 35% of all sown areas - more than 1 million hectares.

“Bashkir farmers produce more than 13% of gross agricultural production. They are represented in cattle breeding, horse breeding, sheep breeding, fish farming, and poultry farming. Along with traditional crops, regional farmers grow berries and mushrooms and develop agrotourism,” said Andrey Nazarov.

Over five years, the volume of state support for SMEs under the entrepreneurial national project in the Bashkiria agro-industrial complex exceeded 1.3 billion rubles.

During these years of implementation of the regional project, 296 new farms were created in the republic, 10.3 thousand participants were involved in consumer cooperation, and 223 agricultural consumer cooperatives received state support.

Support for farms will continue. The Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic is preparing to announce the selection of projects for the Agrostartup and Family Farm programs and for developing agricultural cooperatives' material and technical base.
