Vladimir Putin signed decree to celebrate UEC-UMPO100th anniversary
Today, the Russian President signed a decree celebrating the 100th anniversary of PJSC United Engine Corporation—Ufa Engine Production Association.
The anniversary date will be 2025. According to the document, the celebrations will occur at the federal level. The Russian Federation's government is instructed to form an organizing committee within six months, develop an action plan, and recommend the participation of the leadership of the constituent entities.
UMPO is the largest enterprise in Ufa and Bashkiria, employing about 25 thousand people. The plant produces aircraft engines, gas pumping units, and helicopter parts. UMPO's birthday is considered to be July 17, 1925 - this is the date of creation of the Rybinsk Aircraft Engine Plant, of which the Ufa enterprise became the legal successor.
