Head of Bashkiria expressed sympathy for relatives of miners who died in Amur region

The head of Bashkortostan expresses sincere words of sympathy to the relatives and friends of the miners in connection with the sad news after the completion of the rescue operation in the Amur region, the press service of the House of the Republic reported.

“With the start of the entire operation, representatives of the administration of Sibay and Uchalinsky districts contacted the relatives of the miners who were trapped under the rubble in the mine. Cooperation between the republican authorities and the administration of the Amur region and the enterprise was established to clarify the lists of natives of Bashkortostan working in the mine and the necessary assistance.

If the miners are officially declared dead, families with children under 18 and full-time students under 23 will receive a survivor's pension. Families also began to accept payments from the enterprise. If appropriate requests and appeals are received, the relatives will receive additional assistance.

The message says that the Ministry of Emergency Situations is responsible for the extraction of bodies and that it will be decided depending on the safety conditions in the mine.

The collapse at the Pioneer gold mine in the Amur region occurred two weeks ago, on March 18. 13 people were trapped in the mine under the rubble, including five residents of Bashkiria. Today, the rescue operation was completed: intelligence showed that the mine was flooded and that continued work was mortally dangerous.
