Vladimir Putin addressed Russians before voting in presidential election

Russian President Vladimir Putin addressed Russians on the eve of the three-day presidential election, emphasizing that the results will directly affect the country's development in the coming years.

The head of state called on Russians to take part in the vote.

“Tomorrow, March 15, polling stations will open throughout our vast country, and a three-day voting period for the Russian presidential election will begin. These elections are being held in Russia for the eighth time, which shows the inviolability of one of the basic principles of a democratic state—the regularity of elections. Their results will directly affect the country's development in the coming years. This is an important, extremely responsible event.”

The president emphasized that the people are the only source of power in Russia. Russians will have to cast their vote and firmly declare their will, aspirations, and involvement in the further development of Russia because elections are a step into the future.

“We have already proven that we know how to be together, defending Russia's freedom, sovereignty, and security, defending our values, traditions, history, and culture, acting in conscience, truth, and justice. We have our views on how and what kind of country we should build and what plans we should implement. Today, it is critically important not to deviate from this path, to achieve what is planned, and to achieve the set large-scale goals. Therefore, a lot in the coming days depends on each of you. — Each of your voices is valuable and significant. Therefore, I urge you to exercise your right to vote in the next three days. Our country is large, and everywhere - in every city, town, village - polling stations will be open,” Vladimir Putin said, addressing the Russians.

As Bashinform News Agency previously reported, 3,308 polling stations will be used in Bashkortostan for the upcoming presidential elections in the Russian Federation.
