

Marina Dolmatova, secretary of the region's Central Election Commission, said 10 foreign observers should arrive in Bashkiria to observe the progress of the Russian presidential elections.
“As far as we know, 10 foreign observers are expected to arrive at the inviState Duma's invitation. Among them are representatives of Austria, Sri Lanka, Nicaragua, and other completely different countries. Three observers will be in the CIS mission. These are representatives of Kazakhstan and Belarus. They all arrive tomorrow, so we haven't met them yet. There will be meetings, but the meeting time is still unknown,” Marina Dolmatova clarified.
Earlier, Azat Galimkhanov, the head of the Central Election Commission of Bashkortostan, announced that the republic’s electoral system is ready to hold presidential elections in Russia.
“Today, preparations for the Russian presidential elections are almost complete. Precinct election commissions receive ballots. We can say that the republic's electoral system is ready to hold elections,” said Azat Galimkhanov, answering a question from a Bashinform News Agency correspondent.
In total, 3,308 polling stations will be used in the upcoming presidential elections in the Russian Federation. Bashinform News Agency previously reported that all precinct election commissions were examined by the Ministry of Internal Affairs employees and the Ministry of Emergency Situations for security and anti-terrorism security.
