The electoral system of Bashkortostan is ready to hold presidential elections in Russia, said Azat Galimkhanov, chairman of the region's Central Election Commission, in response to a question from Bashinform.
“Voting begins the day after tomorrow, the first day. It will last three days this year - from March 15 to 17. As of today, preparations for the Russian presidential elections are almost complete. Precinct election commissions receive ballots. We can say that the republic's electoral system is ready to hold elections,” said the head of the Central Election Commission of Bashkiria.
As Azat Galimkhanov noted, employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Ministry of Emergency Situations examined all precinct election commissions for security and anti-terrorism.
The chairman of the Central Election Commission of Bashkiria summarized, “We believe that the republic is ready for elections.”
Bashinform News Agency previously reported that 3,308 polling stations will be used in the upcoming presidential elections in the Russian Federation.
