Vladimir Putin announced “Personnel” - new national project launch

During his Address to the Federal Assembly, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced the launch of a new national project - “Personnel”.

“In 2030, there will be 8.3 million citizens aged 20-24 in the country, and in 2035 there will be 9.7 million. And this, of course, is the result of demographic measures of previous years.

We need these guys to become professionals in their field. We will direct a new national project towards this. We talk about this a lot, but we need to strengthen the links between the stages of education - from school to university. They must work in a single logic for a typical result, and the participation of future employers is important here.

Starting from the current academic year, a career guidance system has been deployed in all schools in the country. Starting from the 6th grade, children can get acquainted with different specialties. I am now appealing to the heads of various enterprises and medical and scientific centers - please invite schoolchildren to your place and let the children see the workshops, factory museums, and laboratories. Be sure to get involved in this work.

Based on the principles of close interaction between educational institutions and the real sector of the economy, we are implementing the “Professionalism” project. It allowed updating programs for aircraft and shipbuilding, pharmaceuticals, electronics, and the defense industry. By 2028, about 1 million representatives of blue-collar professions will have to be trained. We must extend such approaches to the entire secondary vocational education system,” the head of state instructed.
