Bashkiria is exclusive region where multilingual gymnasiums have been opened.

The director of the multidisciplinary multilingual Tatar gymnasium of the city of Neftekamsk, Ildar Murtazin, today during a meeting of the Head of Bashkortostan with representatives of the Tatar community, said that 334 schoolchildren are studying in their educational institution, designed for 250 children. Every year, the number of people wishing to enter the gymnasium and learn the Tatar language is growing; today, there is a great need for the construction of a second building of the educational institution.

Radiy Khabirov noted that the republic is the exclusive region in Russia where multilingual gymnasiums have been opened to study languages of different nationalities. The demand for education in multilingual schools is growing. Parents choose an educational institution that provides ample opportunities to develop their child’s personality.

“The main task of such gymnasiums is to provide high-quality education; it is there that the future elite of Bashkortostan is formed and trained. At the same time, they test the practices of teaching native languages. There is an idea to open another such Tatar gymnasium in one of the western regions of the republic. We will focus on the quality of language teaching and the training of Tatar language teachers,” said the head of the region.

The director of the Tatar gymnasium No. 65 in Ufa, named after Gazi Zagitov, Anfisa Galimzyanova, asked the Head of the Republic to assist in overhauling the school and building a new sports ground.

Radiy Khabirov instructed the Republic's Ministry of Education and Science to propose modernizing the gymnasium's sports ground. He noted that he will visit the educational institution soon during one of his working trips around Ufa.
