Vladimir Putin gave instructions to increase payments to doctors

Russian President Vladimir Putin gave some instructions to the government during a speech at a Future Technologies Forum meeting. The head of state proposed increasing the amount of payments to doctors in small towns, regional centers, and villages from March 1. He asked to pay special attention to supporting doctors in the most popular areas and employees of regional hospitals.

In cities where 50 thousand and 100 thousand people live, doctors will receive 29 thousand rubles in addition to the basic salary, and nursing staff will receive 13 thousand rubles. In settlements where less than 50 thousand people live, such special payments will be higher: doctors will receive 50 thousand rubles monthly in addition to their salaries, and mid-level health workers will receive 30 thousand rubles.

Vladimir Putin instructed the government to complete work on preparing the appropriate legal framework so that from April 1, health workers begin to receive increased payments for March. From April 1, regions must increase the portion of health workers’ salaries to 50% while maintaining additional payments.

According to the press service of the Russian government, the president proposed increasing the budget funds allocated annually for the development of innovative medical technologies. Special attention must be paid to medical science - to support institutions combining research activities with practical medicine.

A proposal was made to expand the network of national medical research centers and strengthen their interaction with other research institutes. If necessary, update the material and technical base of federal medical and scientific institutions. Vladimir Putin instructed the government to launch a national project to develop modern health-saving technologies by the end of 2024.
