Head of Bashkiria met with Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee chairman

On February 8, a meeting between the Head of Bashkortostan, Radiy Khabirov, and the Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee of Belarus, Alexander Subbotin, took place in Minsk. The agenda includes strengthening cooperation between regions in various sectors of the economy and social sphere.

At the beginning of the meeting, Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee Alexander Subbotin invited the delegation of Bashkortostan to the XI Forum of Regions of Belarus and Russia, which will be held on June 26-27, 2024, in Vitebsk. He especially noted that the previous forum, which took place in Ufa in 2023, set a high bar.

The Chairman of the Regional Executive Committee also announced that in the summer of 2024, ceremonial events will be held in honor of the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Vitebsk from the Nazi invaders.

The head of the republic, Radiy Khabirov, thanked the Belarusian side for the invitation and noted that Bashkortostan plans to participate actively in the forum and commemorative celebrations.

The head of Bashkortostan, in turn, invited representatives of the Vitebsk region of Belarus to participate in festive events in honor of Ufa's 450th anniversary.

At the meeting, promising directions for developing joint projects were also discussed. In particular, they noted the high potential of the “Bashkir-Belarusian Longevity” program.
