Russian Government has indexed social payments, benefits and compensations

The Government of the Russian Federation, on behalf of the President, has prepared a resolution on the indexation of more than 40 social payments and benefits from February 1, the press service of the Cabinet of Ministers reports.

Indexation will affect the number of payments to families with children. Thus, the one-time benefit for the birth of a child will increase to 24.6 thousand rubles. The monthly childcare allowance will also increase.

Maternity capital will increase from 586.9 thousand to 630.4 thousand rubles at the first child's birth and for the second and subsequent children (if you did not receive it for the first child) - from 775.6 thousand to almost 834 thousand rubles. Only its balance will be indexed if the family has already spent part of the maternity capital.

There is also an increase in payments to disabled people, veterans of the Great Patriotic War and military operations, Heroes of Russia, Heroes of Labor, and other citizens.

“In general, this measure will affect about 20 million people, and they should receive the funds they are entitled to without delay,” said Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.
