Putin spoke in favor family mortgage program extending

Federal media wrote that Vladimir Putin promised to extend the family mortgage program at a meeting with participants and winners of all Russian family competitions.

One of the meeting participants asked the Russian President to consider extending this program to the secondary housing market in small towns with no new buildings.

“It’s not about the money, and it’s about the transparency of this operation. It’s one thing when you buy a new home, everything is clear there. Here is the family, the mortgage, and the housing. When a person sells an apartment to another person, the risk of abuse must be taken into account. We will think about this situation,” the head of state replied.

Remember that under the family mortgage program, clients can get a loan to purchase a primary home at 6%. It is available to families with two children under 18 years of age. The loan limit for Moscow, St. Petersburg, the Moscow region, and the Leningrad region is 12 million rubles; for all other regions, it is 6 million rubles.

As Bashinform News Agency reported, this year, the issuance of mortgages has become significantly more complicated - the monetary authorities are afraid of the risks of borrowers being overburdened with debt. At the same time, options were considered to stop issuing preferential mortgages. The family mortgage was said to be the most promising for continuation.
