President of Russia confessed his love for Bashkiria
Russian President Vladimir Putin once again confessed his love for Bashkiria and spoke about its greatness. This happened at a meeting with the winners of the “Family of the Year” and “It’s Our Family” competitions.
Communicating with a family from the republic, Anna and Rustam Akhmerov, he invited them to visit the Bashkortostan pavilion at VDNKh, where the Russia exhibition is being held.
“Reflects the greatness of the republic. We love her very much. Remember the story: Bashkiria joined voluntarily and asked to be accepted into the Russian state. I have said it many times and will repeat it: the Bashkirs took upon themselves the functions of border guards. And during the War of 1812, they armed all their young people and put them on horses—all men over 15,” noted the head of state.
As Bashinform News Agency reported, the presentation of Bashkortostan at the “Russia” forum was recognized as one of the best.
