Russian Cabinet of Ministers has finalized youth employment promotion program

Career guidance for schoolchildren, simplification of employment for minors aged 14 to 18 years, organization of the employment process for students and graduates of universities and colleges, development of digital systems in the field of employment of young citizens - these are the main tasks of the updated version of the long-term program for promoting youth employment for the period until 2030, they reported in the press service of the Russian government.

Other priority tasks include targeted employment of specific categories of youth who have difficulty finding work, for example, people with disabilities.

The action plan for the implementation of the program has also been clarified. Its previous edition was approved at the end of 2021; it is over half completed today. Among the new activities is monitoring the country's youth unemployment level separately, including for each region. It will be conducted based on quarterly employment indicators for young citizens.

In addition, the plan involves increasing the number of participants in the All-Russian program to develop youth entrepreneurship to 150 thousand people by 2030. This figure has increased sixfold due to the successful implementation of the program in 2022-2023.

Another new area of work within the plan is encouraging young people to move to work in the Far East and Arctic regions.
