Bashkortostan Parliament opened its spring session

On January 9, the Speaker of the Parliament of Bashkiria, Konstantin Tolkachev, held a meeting with deputies working on a professional basis. This event traditionally opened a new session of parliament.

As the press service of the State Assembly of the Republic reported, the results of the autumn session were summed up at the meeting, and tasks were set for the new parliamentary season.

The Speaker of the parliament spoke about the leading position of the State Assembly of Bashkiria among the constituent entities of the Russian Federation in promoting regional legislative initiatives at the federal level.

During the spring session, deputies will consider almost 70 republican bills. In particular, work is being carried out to improve the Code of the Republic on Administrative Offenses, the Code of the Republic on Elections, the laws “On Local Self-Government in the Republic of Bashkortostan”, “On the Referendum of the Republic of Bashkortostan”, “On Highways and Road Activities in the Republic of Bashkortostan”, “On organizing major repairs of common property in apartment buildings located on the territory of the Republic of Bashkortostan”, “On education in the Republic of Bashkortostan”, “On social support for people with disabilities in the Republic of Bashkortostan” and others.

During the session, parliamentary hearings are planned on the problem of legal education in the republic and public discussions on the draft law “On the implementation of the budget of the Republic of Bashkortostan for 2023.”

The first committee meetings of the new year will occur from January 10 to 12. The first plenary meeting of the spring session is scheduled for January 25.
