Self-nominated candidates' applications for participation in Russian presidential elections have ended

The Russian Central Election Commission has completed accepting documents from self-nominated candidates who want to run for president of the country in 2024. This was reported in the telegram channel of the Central Election Commission.

“Today at 18.00, the deadline for submitting petitions to the Central Election Commission of Russia for registration of groups of voters created in support of the self-nomination of a candidate for the presidential election has ended,” the message says.

At the same time, the registration of a group of voters does not indicate the candidate's registration. To do this, it is necessary to collect 300 thousand signatures by the end of January.

Reception of documents from party candidates will last until 18.00 on January 1. Registration of all applicants must be completed by February 10, 2024.

Let us remind you that the elections in Russia will be in three days. Residents of the country will be able to cast their votes from March 15 to 17. The current President of Russia, Vladimir Putin, has decided to run for another term, Bashinform News Agency previously wrote.
