

The Central Election Commission has allowed 29 regions to conduct remote electronic voting in the presidential elections of the Russian Federation on March 15–17, 2024.
“It is proposed to conduct remote voting in 29 regions. Potentially, about 38 million voters can participate in electronic voting,” said CEC head Ella Pamfilova at a meeting on Wednesday.
Online voting for the presidential elections of the Russian Federation on March 15–17, 2024, will be held in Karelia, Crimea, Chuvashia, Altai, Kamchatka, Primorsky territories, Arkhangelsk, Belgorod, Vladimir, Voronezh, Kaliningrad, Kaluga, Kursk, Lipetsk, Murmansk, Nizhny Novgorod, Novgorod, Novosibirsk, Rostov, Pskov, Sverdlovsk, Tomsk, Chelyabinsk, Yaroslavl regions, as well as the Nenets Autonomous Okrug and the federal cities of Sevastopol and Moscow.
Remote electronic voting (REV) will occur on federal and Moscow platforms. In the first case, you must apply to participate in the REV; in the capital, citizens can choose the format of expressing their will on election days since electronic voter lists are used there. In addition, residents of the regions will be able to vote in Moscow through electronic terminals.
Decoding of the results of the REV will take place in two stages - first after 20.00 Moscow time for all subjects where voting has already ended, and then at 20.00 local time, and the Kaliningrad region will sum up its results. The results will be published simultaneously - after 21.00 Moscow time, as required by election legislation.
Earlier, Bashinform News Agency reported that Vladimir Putin submitted documents to the Central Election Commission to register as a presidential candidate.
