President of Russia signed several socially important laws

Vladimir Putin signed several laws that will be reflected in the lives of many Russians. The documents are published on the official legal information portal.

Per the Federal Law, from January 1, 2024, one pension coefficient will cost 133.05 rubles, and the fixed payment to the insurance pension will be 8,134.88 rubles.

The minimum wage from January 1, 2024, is 19,242 monthly rubles. From 2025, the ratio of the minimum wage to the median salary will be determined to be no lower than 48%.

A scholarship from the President of the Russian Federation has been established for graduate students and adjuncts engaged in research within the country's scientific and technological development framework. Its size is 75 thousand rubles, it is assigned for a period from 1 to 4 years and is paid monthly.

The period for providing free medical care in new territories of Russia has been extended until January 1, 2025.

The excise tax rates for certain types of alcoholic beverages, tobacco products, and liquids for electronic nicotine delivery systems are being increased, and the procedure for applying tax deductions is being clarified.

Changes have been made to the Housing Code regarding inspecting the technical condition of apartment buildings included in the regional capital repair program. Now, they can be carried out at the expense of the owners of premises in apartment buildings or the region's cost.

Another law signed on Monday is aimed at creating a unified approach to the implementation of social support measures for family members of fallen (deceased) military personnel. The circle of beneficiaries entitled to insurance payments concerning the insured person's death has been expanded. The right to receive compensation was acquired by the actual educators (who raised and supported for at least five years until he reached the age of majority) of all insured military personnel, including those who participated in a special military operation.
