The Bashkortostan stand was visited by a People’s Republic of China delegation at the XVII International Forum “Transport of Russia” on November 16 in Moscow. During the conversation, representatives of the Chinese side were told about large infrastructure projects planned to be implemented in Bashkortostan.
In particular, constructing the Sibay - Podolsk - Novorudnaya railway will make it possible to deliver goods to China. It will provide cargo transportation of up to 14 million tons annually, relieve the Chelyabinsk hub, and shorten the road to Kazakhstan by 250 km. This increases passenger traffic and tourism and improves transportation logistics. The main thing is that processing enterprises will be connected to unique deposits with large reserves of high-quality copper-zinc ore. The project's preliminary cost will be more than 72 billion rubles, with a total investment of 116 billion rubles.
“Our countries have a lot in common, many joint projects. Russia is China's strategic partner. We were certainly interested to see what projects are being implemented in your region. The development of transport infrastructure makes it possible to improve the quality of life of people. It is important that your republic pays serious attention to this,” said Gong Shengchen, Deputy Director of the Department of Science and Technology of the Ministry of Transport of China.
Let us recall that the Head of Bashkiria, Radiy Khabirov, noted at an operational government meeting that China can and should become the most important foreign economic partner for Bashkiria due to the immensity and limitlessness of opportunities for cooperation.
As Bashinform News Agency previously reported, last week, a large delegation of Bashkiria, under the leadership of the Prime Minister of the Republican Government, Andreyi Nazarov, visited Shanghai.
