Already in December, State Duma deputies may adopt a law abolishing bank commissions when paying for housing and communal services, reports the press service of the State Duma of the Russian Federation.
“We have held final consultations with the government. There is a proposal to consider this bill as a priority during December,” said State Duma Chairman Vyacheslav Volodin at a plenary session. He recalled that the draft had already been adopted in the first reading in April 2020.
A bill to abolish the commission was introduced by a group of deputies from United Russia; the document envisaged the complete abolition of commissions from fees for housing and communal services and penalties for late or incomplete payments.
Earlier, Bashinform News Agency reported that the federal authorities had determined the maximum indices for changes in housing and communal services fees for the regions.
