Russian President Vladimir Putin today, November 9, arrived on a working visit to Astana. It is planned that Vladimir Putin and the President of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, will hold negotiations face to-face and with the participation of delegations, and some documents are scheduled to be signed.
Before the negotiations, the two countries' leaders connected via video to the XIX Forum of Interregional Cooperation plenary session between Russia and Kazakhstan on the topic “Agriculture is the basis of a strong economy,” held in Kostanay.
In his welcoming speech to the forum participants, Vladimir Putin thanked the head of Kazakhstan for cooperation, noting that interregional interaction between the two countries plays a vital role in its development. Taking this opportunity, the Russian President invited the forum participants to Ufa, the next Forum of Interregional Cooperation between Russia and Kazakhstan.
“I would like to note once again that interregional ties play a central role in the partnership between Russia and Kazakhstan. We will continue to encourage regions' desire to cooperate and, of course, will support all your useful endeavors. I would like to wish the forum participants and its organizers fruitful work. In 2024, the next interregional forum will occur in Russia, in Ufa. I invite you to take part in it,” said Vladimir Putin.
Let us remind you that the Head of Bashkiria, Radiy Khabirov, previously held a working meeting with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Kazakhstan to Russia, Dauren Abaev. The head of the republic noted that the 20th-anniversary Forum of Interregional Cooperation between Russia and Kazakhstan should be held in Ufa.
