Deputy Prime Minister of Russia noted Interuniversity Campus construction pace in Bashkiria

Deputy Prime Minister of Russia Dmitry Chernyshenko, during a meeting dedicated to the creation of a network of university campuses, noted the activity of Bashkiria in the implementation of the large-scale project of the Eurasian REC.

“The first campuses are actively being built in Moscow, Ufa, Kaliningrad, Nizhny Novgorod, Chelyabinsk, Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk, and Novosibirsk. Another 10 campuses are at the stage of developing design estimates and preparatory construction work. Campus facilities will provide comfortable residential infrastructure for more than 3.5 thousand students and teachers. This is 73 thousand square meters of educational and public areas for young people. By 2028, it is planned to create 17 university campuses with a total cost of over 500 billion rubles,” Chernyshenko said.

Earlier, the Head of Bashkortostan, Radiy Khabirov, announced that active construction of the second stage of the region’s interuniversity campus would begin in 2024. The first stage of the large-scale facility will be completed by January 1, 2024.
