The Head of Bashkortostan, Radiy Khabirov, held a regular meeting of the regional anti-terrorism commission. On the agenda are issues of countering extremist ideology and information attacks aimed at dividing society.
“We see that external pressure on our country is increasing. Attempts to disrupt socio-political stability are becoming more and more active. The fact that Russian society fully supports the line of the country's leadership does not please our enemies very much. One of the areas of hybrid war today is attempts to destroy interethnic harmony. In its most destructive form, the anti-Russian agenda is formed by the identified single network of telegram channels. In these conditions, our task is to stop such subversive activity, be prepared for any risks, and prevent in advance any attempts to provoke the residents of our multinational republic. It would be best if you also had smart and skillful counter-propaganda to combat enemy propaganda,” noted Radiy Khabirov.
The meeting participants reviewed the critical tasks for preventing interethnic and interfaith conflicts. Among the areas of joint work are the formation of active citizenship among young people and the organization of training seminars with media representatives.
Following the discussion, the Head of Bashkortostan instructed to prepare a list of specific measures regarding the organization of interdepartmental interaction and the prompt solution of assigned tasks.
