Vladimir Putin signed decree approving Russia's climate doctrine

Tatyana Aksyutina

Russian President Vladimir Putin approved the climate doctrine. The corresponding decree was published on the official website of legal acts.

“To approve the attached climate doctrine of the Russian Federation,” the document says. It is noted that the decree comes into force from the date of its signing. He also recognizes the previous climate doctrine of the Russian Federation, which was approved in 2009, as no longer valid.

One of the key long-term goals of Russia's new climate doctrine is to achieve carbon neutrality no later than 2060.

We want to remind you that Bashinform News Agency previously published a review of the most significant bills signed by the head of state.
