Bashkiria and Belarus will form new cooperation proposal packages by end of 2023

The Head of Bashkortostan thanked Prime Minister of Belarus Roman Golovchenko and the entire large delegation for participating in the ceremonial events dedicated to Republic Day. It noted that this was great respect from their Belarusian colleagues.

“We are working in some detail. We have discussed all the ongoing issues and processes regarding cooperation with Belarus. Most importantly, we have created a framework and infrastructure for effective business relations between Belarus and Bashkortostan. This financial toolkit motivates interaction—creation of joint ventures, localization of enterprises, and inclusion of investments.

Second, we have created an infrastructure for cooperation. Our representative office in Belarus works very effectively; the Embassy of the Republic of Belarus in the Russian Federation operates here. We have created a permanent system for exchanging delegations, allowing us to resolve issues that may not be resolved on time. The most important thing is that we have come to the following: we have completed certain stages of establishing relationships. We have reached a very high, efficient, well-functioning operating mechanism. But there is already an understanding that new projects are needed. And today at the meeting, as well as during the meeting, we agreed on the following: by December of this year, our side will present to the Belarusian side, and the Belarusian side will present to our side new proposals on where we will move in joint development. Where will we invest, what enterprises will we create, and where will we cooperate more closely. Significant documents will include mechanical engineering, agricultural production technology, humanitarian cooperation, and tourism.

I repeat every time, Bashkortostan conducts foreign economic activity with more than a hundred world countries. Belarus is a special region for us. We have special relations, special personal relations, close humanitarian relations, and, of course, Belarus is still a very reliable economic partner for us,” said Radiy Khabirov, answering a question from the Bashinform News Agency.
