Four factions have been formed in Bashkiria parliament

Four factions have been formed in the structure of the State Assembly - Kurultai of the Republic of Bashkortostan of the seventh convocation. The department’s press service told Bashinform News Agency that the deputy associations held their first meetings.

According to the voting results, representatives of six parties entered parliament, but only four overcame the five percent threshold. These are “United Russia”, the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, the Liberal Democratic Party, and the party “A Fair Russia - Patriots - For Truth”. The Green and New People parties each have one representative in the State Assembly - they were elected to parliament in single-member constituencies.

Four factions also worked in the State Assembly of the sixth convocation.

“The balance of political forces has remained unchanged. The numerical composition of the factions has changed with the strengthening of the positions of United Russia. Deputy associations are an effective instrument of political influence. Factions are vested with certain powers. As part of the faction, deputies do not act separately, but join forces, formulate a collegial opinion, take a coordinated position on key issues and thereby more effectively defend the interests of their voters,” said Konstantin Tolkachev.

Salavat Khusainov was elected head of the United Russia faction, Yunir Kutluguzhin was elected head of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, A Fair Russia - Patriots - For Truth party faction was headed by Vladimir Nagorny, and Yuri Rudakov headed the LDPR.
