The Head of Bashkortostan, Radiy Khabirov, met with the Turkish Ambassador, Mehmet Samsar. He ends his five-year diplomatic mission in Russia with a visit to Bashkiria, reports the press service of the Head of Republic.
The prospects for implementing joint projects in the economy and social sphere were discussed at the meeting. Radiy Khabirov expressed gratitude for the collaborative work and significant contribution to strengthening Russian-Turkish relations.
“The trade turnover between Bashkiria and Turkey is growing quickly. We see that Turkish business is interested in implementing their projects in our republic, and we are ready to assist such initiatives,” noted Radiy Khabirov.
He spoke about new initiatives within the cooperation framework with Turkish business and invited a foreign delegation to Bashkiria.
“We are working to ensure that Turkish business comes to our republic. Thus, we recently agreed to localize the production of overhead and jib cranes from the Özfatihler Crane Company in Ufa. We are interested in organizing a large business mission from Bashkiria to Istanbul. Next year, we will celebrate the 450th anniversary of the capital of the region, the city of Ufa. We invite you to attend the celebrations dedicated to this anniversary,” said Radiy Khabirov.
The Turkish Ambassador to Russia expressed gratitude for the support and desire to increase cooperation.
“The five-year stage of my work in Russia is ending. I want to note that my first business trip during this period was to Ufa. And throughout all my activities, I felt your support. With your assistance, we opened a representative office of the Republic in Istanbul. And in Bashkiria, the Honorary Consul General of Turkey in Ufa began work. These are important steps to expand our interaction. And we believe there is good potential for further movement forward,” said Mehmet Samsar.
Mehmet Samsar thanked for the invitation and noted that he would continue to cooperate with Russia.
