Vladimir Putin signed decree on “Digital Passport”

Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree on a “Digital Passport”. The corresponding document was published on the official portal of legal information, Bashinform News Agency reports.

Russians can present a digital ID from State Services instead of a paper passport.

Submission of information using the mobile application is voluntary, the document says.

The Decree comes into force on the date of publication.
