Regulations changes for passenger taxis have been made in Bashkiria

Amendments have been made to the law “On the organization of transport services for the population by road and urban ground electric transport on the territory of the Republic of Bashkortostan”. The corresponding document, published on the official Internet portal of legal information of the Republic of Belarus, came into force on September 15, 2023.

It clarifies what is a passenger taxi, a passenger taxi ordering service, and a regional registry of passenger taxi carriers. A regional comprehensive plan and a regional standard of transport services for the population in the territory of Bashkiria, as well as a regulation on regional state control in the field of transporting passengers and luggage by taxi, are also being approved. The organization of transportation by passenger taxi is being clarified. In particular, a driver who is an employee of the carrier and whose information is included in the waybill issued by the carrier has permission to drive a passenger taxi. The taxi must be decorated following the requirements established by law: have a black, yellow, or white body color scheme. Cars must have an environmental class of at least Euro 3.

As Bashinform News Agency discovered, the right to operate a passenger taxi ordering service is granted for five years.
