At a meeting of the President of the Russian Federation with Government members, Bashkiria was noted as a region that distinguished itself in updating school sports infrastructure.
On the eve of September 1, Vladimir Putin asked how the work with sports schools was going. “We have some changes in this area, including the return of the status of educational organizations to sports schools. This means that everyone who works in this area should be properly provided with an appropriate level of wages as teachers, and this is due to wage growth, increased vacations, simplification of the certification procedure, and so on. This is quite a big job,” the head of state said.
Responding to the President's question, Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko noted Bashkortostan among the leaders.
“The regions have done a huge, simply gigantic job to bring the sports infrastructure to a standard state. There was something to do there, and they directed their funding to reconstruction, repair of facilities, and purchase of inventory and equipment. That is, we will have a completely new level of sports school from September 1. First, I would like to note Bashkortostan, Bryansk, Irkutsk, Yaroslavl, and Moscow regions. They are great. They found and allocated funds,” the Deputy Prime Minister reported.
As Bashinform News Agency reported earlier, Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin instructed to adopt the experience of Bashkiria in developing roadside services.
Musa Gareev's Sports School in Verkhneyarkeevo, the Olympic Reserve School No. 2 in Ufa, two sports schools in Ishimbay, and Oktyabrsky and Kumertau have been repaired in the republic.
Since 2019, the “Success of every child” project has been implemented in the republic as part of the National Education Project. This is the repair of school sports halls and playgrounds, the provision of inventory and equipment, and the development of school sports clubs. The project is financed through the federal and Republican budgets. As the previous year, it is planned to repair 43 facilities this year.
Special attention is paid to sports training of children in the region.
To support the development of professional sports in Bashkiria, a Sports Training Center has been built, and a Wrestling Palace is being built.
For the development of mass sports, the task was to build sports and recreation centers with swimming pools in the regional centers. Bashkiria launched the Rural Coach project in 2020, which grants 1 million rubles to sports teachers working in settlements with a population of less than 100,000 people. This practice is recognized as one of the best and has already been implemented in 25 regions.
