Socio-economic development forecast announced by Bashkiria Government

2.5 trillion rubles of a gross regional product; 54.4 thousand rubles of the average monthly salary; 30 sq. meters per capita housing supply; 1.2 million tons of milk production and processing; 4 million tons of gross grain and leguminous crops harvest; increase in retail and wholesale trade turnover by 15% and 30%, respectively.

These are strategic goals that the republic must achieve by 2024. At a meeting of the Strategic Committee, they were voiced by Prime Minister Andrey Nazarov.

“According to the year's first half results, positive trends are formed, for the most part. Industrial production grew by 5.9%. In agriculture, growth by 0.1%, the effect of last year's high base is affecting here. According to the results of January-June, construction works and housing construction also show a steady growth - by 16.8% and 5.6%, respectively. More than 1.57 million square meters of housing have been commissioned. Retail trade turnover increased by 5.7%. According to the results of January-May, the average monthly salary increased by 16.4% and amounted to 52.8 thousand rubles. The unemployment rate for April-June amounted to 2.3%," the head of the Cabinet said.

Andrey Nazarov pointed out that some indicators have already achieved the previously set target values. As Bashinform News Agency found out, these are life expectancy, gross agricultural output, and real average monthly wage growth rate.

We also considered the macroeconomic parameters of the forecast for the region's socio-economic development for the medium term - until 2026 and for a long time - until 2036. In the future, they will become the basis for draft budgets.
