Federal register of intangible ethnocultural heritage objects will appear in Russia
A federal register of objects of intangible ethnocultural heritage will appear in Russia, the government of the Russian Federation reported.
The decree on the procedure for the formation of the federal register of objects of intangible ethnocultural heritage - fairy tales, epics, dances, rituals, crafts, traditions, and customs was signed by Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.
“Creating a public information resource will simplify the study, use, preservation, and promotion of intangible ethnocultural heritage. The register will contain information about the object's origin, the area of its existence, the bearers and keepers of the original traditional culture,” the Russian Government said in a statement.
Such a register will be maintained by the Ministry of Culture of Russia.
