Deputies of the State Assembly of Bashkiria plan to introduce amendments and additions to the Constitution of the Republic. The corresponding draft law is included in the exemplary program of legislative work of the parliament, the press service of the State Assembly told Bashinform News Agency.
The bill aims to bring the Constitution of the Republic in line with the Federal Law of December 21, 2021, No. 414-FZ, “On the General Principles of Organizing Public Power in the Subjects of the Russian Federation”. At the constitutional level, the structure of the State Assembly will be determined, and the procedure for electing the chairman of the parliament and his deputies, forming the presidium, standing committees, and commissions will be fixed. The powers of the republican parliament are supplemented by control over compliance with the laws of the Republic of Bashkortostan, hearing information about the activities of local governments.
According to the draft law, the Head of Bashkiria will ensure the coordination of the executive bodies of the Republic of Bashkortostan with other state authorities and organize their interaction with bodies that are part of the unified public power system in the Russian Federation. The number of entities that can submit bills to the State Assembly will increase. It is proposed to give the Youth Civic Chamber the right to do so in matters of its jurisdiction.
The draft law also sets out a list of issues within the jurisdiction of the government of the Republic of Bashkortostan. It is envisaged that the Head of the Republic of Belarus leads the republic's government, and the prime minister organizes the work of the government. Some other provisions of the Constitution of the Republic of Belarus are updated following the mentioned federal law.
