80th anniversary of Victory celebration preparation and holding decree was signed by Vladimir Putin

The President of Russia signed a decree on the preparation and holding of celebrating the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War in 2025. Following the document's text, the government is instructed to develop an action plan within three months. Also, the Cabinet of Ministers should provide for the participation of leaders of foreign countries and take measures to improve the socio-economic situation of veterans.

The Russian Organizing Committee "Victory" is responsible for coordinating the activities of federal executive authorities, executive authorities of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation, local governments, and public associations in preparing and holding festive events.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation is instructed to provide the necessary political and diplomatic assistance, and federal and regional executive authorities are instructed to take part in preparing and holding festive events.
