Law on age limit for civil servants, drafted by Parliament of Bashkiria, was signed by Vladimir Putin

Russian President Vladimir Putin signed the federal law “On Amendments to Article 25 of the Federal Law “On the State Civil Service of the Russian Federation”, developed by the State Assembly of the Republic of Bashkortostan. This was reported to Bashinform News Agency in the press service of the republic's parliament.

“The law changed the age limits for a certain category of civil servants in the legislative bodies of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation. The term of civil service for certain employees of the category "heads" of the main group of positions can be extended from 65 to 70 years by the official who appointed him to the position in agreement with the chairman of the legislative body of the constituent entity of the Russian Federation”, commented Chairman of the State Assembly Konstantin Tolkachev.

Previously, the federal law provided similar provisions for civil servants filling the same categories of positions in the apparatus of the Federation Council and the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, as well as in the executive bodies of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation.
