Ufa and Minsk signed joint events plan for several years

Today, June 27, as part of the X Forum of the Regions of Russia and Belarus in the capital of Bashkiria, a plan of joint events for 2023–2025 was signed between Ufa and Minsk. It was sealed with their signatures by the head of the administration of Ufa Ratmir Mavliev and the chairman of the Minsk City Executive Committee, Vladimir Kukharev.

During the meeting, representatives of the parties discussed issues of cooperation in the commercial and industrial sectors in the development of domestic tourism and the digitalization of the urban economy.

“Today's meeting will give a new impetus to developing good relations between Minsk and Ufa. We pay great attention to ties with the regions of Russia because they allow us to solve the problems that our states face quickly. I am sure we will find new points of contact and jointly develop areas of activity that will further strengthen our relationship,” commented Vladimir Kukharev.

The Mayor of Ufa called positive that such a significant event as the 10th anniversary Forum of the Regions of Russia and Belarus is held in the capital of Bashkortostan.

“Cities with a million population have similar problems and tasks, and the Forum finds common solutions. I am glad that today young people from Belarus are uniting with young people from Ufa and Bashkortostan. All this contributes to the development of a new level of relations. We are also happy to accept the invitation of our colleagues to visit Minsk to exchange experience and quickly respond to the challenges that may arise in front of us,” said Ratmir Mavliev.

He also officially invited the delegation of Belarus to the celebrations in honor of the 450th anniversary of Ufa next year.

Recall that the Memorandum establishing twinning relations between Ufa and Minsk was five years old in December last year. Over the years, we have come a long way to expand cooperation in many areas.

In the future, the action plan for the development and expansion of inter-municipal relations between Minsk and Ufa provides for cooperation in the fields of economy, trade, industry and industrial collaboration, education, culture and art, sports and youth policy, improvement and housing and communal services, public transport, construction and architecture, finance, public safety, interethnic relations, as well as in the social sphere.
