Federal budget revenues up 10% in 2022

Tatyana Aksyutina

At a government meeting, the results of the execution of the federal budget in 2022 were summed up. “Although external restrictions were quite serious, we implemented all the planned tasks and, first of all, concentrated resources on supporting people and businesses, on the unconditional fulfillment of all social obligations,” said Mikhail Mishustin, Prime Minister of the Russian government.

According to the Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation, revenues increased by 10% and amounted to about 28 trillion rubles. At the same time, the share of revenues not related to the sale of oil and gas remained at about 60% - in absolute terms, it exceeded 16.2 trillion rubles.

Expenses increased by almost 6 trillion - these funds were directed primarily to help citizens.

On behalf of the President, payments were made to families with children, indexation of pensions, and support for the labor market. Assistance was provided to entrepreneurs who, in particular, received preferential loans and a moratorium in paying insurance premiums.

Due to advanced financing, the accelerated construction of hospitals, schools, and roads, as well as the modernization of housing and communal services, were carried out.

Separately, Mikhail Mishustin noted a decrease in external debt by almost 10%.

The head of government urged to maintain the momentum gained in 2023, increase executive discipline and ensure strict adherence to the deadlines for financing all events.
