Vladimir Putin signed several previously adopted federal laws

President Vladimir Putin signed several previously adopted federal laws. The press service of the State Duma of the country reported this. Among the documents are laws providing for the possibility of holding elections in territories where martial law has been introduced, on supporting participants in a special military operation and their families, and on Russia's denunciation of the Treaty on Conventional Armed Forces in Europe. • Vladimir Putin signed the law on Russia's denunciation of the Treaty on Conventional Armed Forces in Europe. Russia suspended its participation in the meetings of the Joint Consultative Group on March 11, 2015, thus completing the process of suspension of its membership in the treaty, but purely legally continued to remain in it.
• The President of Russia also signed a law providing for the possibility of continuing to use official housing for family members of military personnel sent to the SMO zone and outside Russia at their former duty station. In addition, the participants of the special military operation were exempted from paying the state duty for restoring their Russian passports and driver's licenses to replace the lost ones.
• Elections in regions where martial law has been introduced will be scheduled after consultations with the Ministry of Defense and the FSB. According to the signed document, in the territory where martial law has been submitted, referendums and elections to bodies of state power and local self-government are not held "except in cases where the decision on their appointment was made following consultations with the Russian Ministry of Defense and the Russian FSB in the manner determined by the federal law." The highest official of the subject where martial law is in force has the right not earlier than 130 days and not later than 90 days before voting day to send a proposal to the CEC of the Russian Federation to hold elections or a referendum.
• The president also signed a law that ratifies the agreement between the Russian Federation and Kyrgyzstan on creating a unified regional air defense system. The document is aimed at regulating the issues of protecting the state borders of the two countries in the airspace of the Central Asian region of collective security, as well as approving the procedure for using air defense forces in the joint performance of combat duty tasks.
