A new honorary title will be established in Bashkortostan, the press service of the State Assembly told Bashinform News Agency.
The corresponding bill will be considered in the first reading at the plenary session of the Parliament on May 25.
“The bill proposes to establish the honorary title of Honored Master of Folk Artistic Crafts of the Republic of Bashkortostan,” said Konstantin Tolkachev, speaker of the Bashkir parliament.
The title will be awarded for high professional skills and many years of conscientious work in the industry.
The Chairman of the State Assembly noted the need to preserve traditional folk crafts. In his opinion, folk art crafts are an essential part of the people’s material culture, our national wealth.
“Products that are made by the hands of craftsmen using technologies passed down from generation to generation are even more art than production, so the industry requires a special, careful approach. The establishment of the honorary title will contribute to the popularization of folk art crafts and the development of handicrafts in the republic,” summed up Konstantin Tolkachev.
