State Duma has increased maximum tax deductions for education and treatment

State Duma deputies passed a law increasing the maximum tax deductions for education, treatment, and the purchase of medicines. From now on, 13% of the expenses for children’s education can be returned from 110 thousand from the treatment and education of adults - up to 150 thousand rubles.

The law also amends the Tax Code, which reduces taxes on the purchase of domestic equipment. According to the chairman of the State Duma, the measure aims to develop and create the technological sovereignty of Russia.

“After adopting the law, a company that purchases domestic equipment will pay less income tax than if it purchased the same equipment from imports. This will accelerate the processes of import substitution and the formation of the country's technological sovereignty in key sectors of the economy,” Vyacheslav Volodin believes.
