Work on attracting federal funds to Republic was discussed in Bashkiria’s Government

Attracting federal funds for the construction of transport, engineering, and social infrastructure has become one of the main topics at the government meeting. Work with the National Welfare Fund, infrastructure budget loans, and the issue of bonds was discussed. “The limit of all these instruments at the federal level has been increased, and the region needs to be active in attracting funds,” Prime Minister Andrey Nazarov said.

At the meeting, the heads of several departments reported on the progress in forming applications for the construction of new social, infrastructure, and road construction facilities.

According to the Acting Minister of Housing and Public Utilities of the Republic, Irina Golovanova, in 2022, more than 6 billion rubles of borrowed funds were raised at the expense of the National Welfare Fund for the implementation of measures in the field of water supply, sanitation, and heat supply, which is more than 9 times higher than the funds raised for these goals through the Territorial Development Fund for three years.

At the moment, new applications are being formed from some municipalities to update infrastructure facilities for heat, water, and sanitation.

A list of road facilities for which additional funding is required has been compiled in the republic. There are six such objects in Bashkortostan. Their implementation will enable the unloading of the road network and ensure citizens’ convenient and safe movement on the republic’s roads.

It is planned to implement all of the above objects from 2023 to 2027. More than 36 billion rubles are needed for their implementation.

Acting Minister of Construction and Architecture of the Republic Artem Kovshov reported in more detail about preparing applications to construct social infrastructure facilities and transferring boiler houses from fuel oil to alternative fuels.

He said that to finance the infrastructure facilities of the republic for 2023, implemented as part of the provision of an infrastructure budget loan, an application for additional financing for 1 billion 830 million rubles was sent to the Ministry of Construction of Russia. According to Artem Kovshov, these additional funds will be received in July.

Andrey Nazarov instructed the regional ministries of construction and architecture, transport and road facilities, and housing and communal services to form and send all relevant applications to the federal authorities as soon as possible.
