It became known when BRICS summit would be held in Russia
Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree on the organizing committee to prepare and provide Russia's chairmanship in the BRICS association. The document was published on the official Internet portal of legal information. As follows from the text of the decree, the meeting of the BRICS heads of state, which, in addition to Russia, includes Brazil, India, China, and South Africa, will be held in Kazan in 2024. The Government of the Russian Federation will provide funding for the events.
Recall that the previous BRICS summit in Russia was held in Ufa in July 2015. Then the Heads of State discussed the creation of the BRICS Development Bank and joined the Iranian community as an observer. The 2020 summit, which was supposed to be held in St. Petersburg, was held via videoconference due to the coronavirus pandemic.
