The Head of Bashkiria, Radiy Khabirov, wrote on his social media about a working trip to Ulyanovsk, during which, together with the Secretary of the Russian Security Council, Nikolai Patrushev, and the heads of the regions of the Volga Federal District, issues of the country's information security were discussed.
“In parallel with the battles on the battlefield, a real information war is now going on - for people’s souls, minds, and hearts. Fake news, inaccurate reports, and inciting ethnic and religious hatred - we fight all this daily. We exchanged experience with colleagues on how to conduct this work even more efficiently - to always provide our residents with the opportunity to receive reliable, verified, up-to-date information,” said Radiy Khabirov.
Earlier, Bashinform News Agency reported that Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a law punishing up to 7 years in prison for fakes about participants in a special operation.
